Counseling Connections PLLC is a mobile play therapy practice. Therapist work with children at their home or school. This structure alleviates the need for parents to take off of work and children don't have to miss valuable academic instruction.

My Story
I am Jean Marie Odom (Jeanie), owner and therapist at Counseling Connections PLLC. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas State University and Master of Education in Counselor Education from the University of Houston-Victoria. Before becoming a counselor, I was a private and public-school teacher as well as a high school testing coordinator. As a counselor I have worked in a variety of settings to include juvenile detention centers, private practices, and schools. I have always been passionate about working with children.
When one person in a family struggles, I believe, the entire family struggles. My approach to therapy for children is a partnership between parents, therapist, and the child. While work is done during therapy, commitment and follow-through at home is where the magic happens. When all pieces in a child's life are connected and committed true positive transformation can occur.
